Descending into Chaos.

The streets of our cities are bubbling with riots and unrest.
All they tell us is how it will be damaging our image for the 2012 olympics, how the teenagers should all be locked up because they're ruining it for everyone, how unfortunate the timing of the riots is.
Well fuck them!

Why does noone seem to care why people are rioting? Why don't they think about how we can help them, and feel compassion for them and angry at the hurt our society causes for so many vulnerable people.
We need more hope in this world.
Without hope, happy memories to recall, or self respect, we have nothing.
Think about how many times in a day you have little flashbacks to something better than right now, or of a glimmer of hope for the future. Now imagine a life without these and it's easy to see why some feel the need to escape with drugs or violence.

I'd like to challenge you to make someone's life a little happier tomorrow.

Smile at everyone you see; invite the lonely guy from down the road up for a cuppa; leave a nice note for the cleaners at work; leave your old books on the train; make a stranger laugh.

It doesn't matter what you do, the simplest gestures can make the biggest difference.

While I was at lunch the other day, this was left on my desk :
I couldn't stop grinning for the rest of the day.

You can make a difference.

.thank you for letting me know that such a song exists. i would love to know the lyrics, but id hate for them to be lost. therefore ill take your advice and just dance to it.
.yeah, its very nice to be where youre wanted and appreciated. im still working on that other part. helping where youre resented.....
.building a new passion is so hard, though. and even if theres no candle, a match gives off light as well. maybe not much, but enough to not lose sight of hope.
.i think it counts as praying, as long as the mind is meditating on God's greatness, and having fellowship with Him. and as long as you praise Him with your singing, He'll appreciate it, no matter how bad you think it is.
.i hope itgets better with time. me, i just go on with my life. they've gotta live with it. i wish i knew how to fix hearts =/

  5. You'd love ISWU (Itstartswith.us)

    I will do <3

    Also:
I had to ask one of my more politically astute friends for the cause behind the riots, since the cause has been buried beneath layers of media hysteria and teens nicking playstations.

    Love <3

  6. Awww, it is amazing how the little things can buoy our moods. That's a great challenge. Lately, I've been leaving lines from favourite poems in library books I enjoyed. I'm hoping to bring a little smile or intrigue to someone's day... :)

  10. I love you. My heart breaks for the world, yet nothing excites me as much as the world does. We are all so beautiful, yet we hurt each other.
And today, you made me smile. and you made me cry. I cry for; I am happy that you are living, and you are inspiring people to live! Thank you.

    LOVE!
